I really got my money's worth at Happy Go Lucky Hotel +. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The location was perfect, with a train station nearby and plenty of good restaurants in the safe neighborhood. The best part was the staff - they were super helpful and made me feel like a friend rather than just a guest.
The breakfast menu could have been more varied.

Convenient location near bus and train stations. Large common areas and courtyard. Rooms vary, but mine had bunk beds and a private bathroom. Personal lockers available. Good communication before arrival.

Friendly, helpful staff, good English, free guide maps. Free breakfast, snacks available in lobby. Wi-Fi works well. Dormitory rooms spacious. Close to train and bus station. Clean bathrooms and rooms. Fridge and microwaves provided. Cozy common areas. Convenient for Tegel Airport.

The hotel is worth the money you pay, if you need just a comfortable bed during your stay in Berlin - this hotel is for you. The location is good, it is right opposite the S-Bahn station Charlottenburg and 5 min walk from the U-Bahn station Wilmersdorfer Strasse. If you arrive at Tegel airport you can take X9 bus and go until its last stop - Zoologischer Garten (~30 min). Then use for ex. U-Bahn to take you to Wilmersdorfer Strasse (2 stops), pay attention that you can use the same ticket as in the bus, it is valid for 2 hours. It is also very comfortable to get from the hotel to the Main railway station or vice a versa by metro, a straight line.

I recently stayed at a hostel near the train station for 5 days and had a great experience. The location was perfect, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The bedsheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. Despite being a shared bathroom, I only ran into one other guest during my entire stay. The staff was helpful and the bathrooms were sparkling clean. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the hostel was and will definitely stay here again.
100% Recommend this hotel.
